Yang Ming Shan
阳明山
Yang Ming Shan(阳明山) is one of the famous tourist spot in Taipei. Well, I must say that you must come around February or March if you want to see cherry blossom. During that period, the temperature on the mountain is really low, so remember to wear thicker clothings when you are visiting. Please take note of the weather in July or August when you are visiting, as that period is a typhoon season for Taiwan. (:
To get to YMS(阳明山), you can take bus 260 directly from Ximending(西门町). The bus will pass by Jiantan metro station(剑潭站) and other famous tourist spots too. Alternatively, you can take Red 5 from Jiantan metro station(剑潭站). FYI, you can use your easycard(悠游卡) for all the bus rides.
When you reached YMS(阳明山), you can take mini buses from there to tour the mountain. Each bus ride cost NT$15, or you can get one-day tour ticket at the tourist centre(I not very sure about this as I only read about it on tripadvisor). Waiting time for the buses are ranging from 5 mins to 10 mins.

My friends and I did not prepared a lot of clothings with us, so we were like freezing when we reached there. Anyway, we took a tour bus to the main area of YMS(阳明山). We then tour around for 40 to 50 mins before we left the place. Initially, we wanted to visit the zhuzi-Hu(竹子湖) to see the calla lilies(海宇) but because the temperature there is really too cold for us to proceed. Dots. But if you guys are visiting, do go tour the whole place, as YMS(阳明山) is one of the beautiful place in Taipei.
Anyway, I had nothing much to add on here. I shall share some of my favourite photos I took during my stay there.

Thank for visiting my blog. During that period, it between 15 to 17 degrees. But, you are heading to YMS or other mountain areas, the temperature will be 2 to 3 degrees lower. I recommend to wear more layer of clothes if you are visiting YMS.

can I ask you, the flowers...are they like everywhere? Saw your shots on the flowers :) I am going in March. or are there specific flowers at specific places?

I guess so, the flowers which I shot are at the main area of Yang Ming Shan. You should be able to see them once you reached there.
I'm going TW in March too. I'll be visiting other parts like Taichung and Kaohsiung this time round. Well, hope you have a pleasant trip, it would be cold. Prepare lots of clothings when you going there (YMS). :)
