Shibuya
渋谷 : Shibuya
Shibuya is another great shopping spot in Tokyo, it is probably the most popular and number one shopping area in Tokyo. Second to none, not even Harajuku or Ginza comes close. Shibuya covers quite a big area in central Tokyo and its JR train station has 6 exits.
The famous Hachiko (ハチ公) statue is built here in Shibuya. Hachiko is a dog and the story of him waiting for his owner for years even when his owner has passed away is very popular worldwide. The statue is built to remember this loyal dog. The statue is located at the Hachiko exit (ハチ公口) on the west side of the station. Do keep a lookout for it.

The big malls Shibuya 109 and the recently opened Shibuya 109 Men are 2 notable malls that every Tokyo's youth know. In these malls, there are numerous Japanese fashion brands. The apparel sold are pretty exclusive to Tokyo and it doesn't come cheap either. So if you are thinking of shopping for these brands, prepare a bigger wallet, yea? Hahas.

Nevertheless, there is a much cheaper option that you can get Japan's exclusive products. Wego is one of the nice stores in Tokyo that sells Japanese brands at a cheaper price tag. I bought one shirt there that branded Browny, the brand Browny is probably exclusive to Wego as I cannot find the brand anywhere else. It cost me around S$32. The price range of the shirts cost between S$25 to S$40. You can find Wego in Harajuku too.

Shibuya is also famous for its road-crossing sight. The famous road-crossing can be observed from all directions at the JR station main exit. The junction is always crowded even when it is a normal weekday. There are 2 cafes where you can observe the crossing from a higher point of view. Firstly, the Starbucks located at Tsutaya mall (つたやモール) and second, the L'occitane Cafe (ロクシタンカフェ) located at the building left of Tsutaya mall.

For the girls, Shibuya is definitely a shopping paradise and also the best place to check out the latest fashion in town. As for the guys, it's a place to see all the pretty girls, I believed? There are not much things in Shibuya for the guys, but still there are still men apparels around here...just that it's not a lot. However, guys can look forward to foods here. There are quite a number of restaurants and cafes in Shibuya too.

My friend and I did not spend a lot of time here as we got to rush to Harajuku to get some stuffs instead. Although it is a short visit, we covered some levels of the Shibuya 109 Men and also walked around the street on Shibuya. In conclusion, Shibuya is definitely worth the time visiting and I will be back here again if I got more time. Hmm...wrapping up, I hope you have gained some useful information.
