Anyway, my friend and I dropped by the National Museum of Nature and Science during our visit. The museum is separated into 2 buildings where one is more focused on Japan while the other one is more international. We paid ¥600 each for the entry fee. In Tokyo, vending machine sells all of sort of things and they sell museum tickets too! We bought our ticket through this machine and that cut down on a lot of manpower work. Thus, there weren't any long queue during my visit.

The museum is one of the biggest museums that I visited in my whole life. Spanning 3 floors of exhibit at the Japanese museum and 5 floors of international exhibit over at the international museum, it took me more than an hour to cover both of the museums. My friend and I just went round quickly to cover the museums since both of the museums were really big. We found the artifacts displayed were realistic and we think they are amazing.

Inside the museum

There are several zones in the Japanese museum that you must not miss. Firstly, the human evolution zone where the exhibit shows olden Japanese people evolving to modern Japanese people. It includes Japanese's population in the past, agricultural techniques used in those days, Japanese's pet dog(s) and many other more. I enjoyed my stay there, totally.

The human Evolution Zone.

Secondly, the zone that featured animals that lived and adapted to Japanese land in the olden days, In here, you get to see some big sea monsters that ruled Japan sea in the olden days. It's really cool, the bones of the extinct monsters were lifelike. Other than these 2 highlights, there are several other exhibits including formation of the Japanese natural environment.

After finished exploring the Japanese museums, my friend and I proceeded to the international museum. The international one is even better. There are exhibitions on physics and mathematics to biology and chemistry. You will definitely love it as there are till-date animals, extinct animals and endangered animals model here. Other than animals on land, you can also find the sea animals here too. Of course, I am talking about model figurines which are the same size of the actual animal itself.

The Dinosaur Zone!!

Fyi, there is a library in the international museum too. If you are feeling hungry, there is also a museum cafe/restaurant in the international museum to satisfy your stomach. To reach ueno is quite easy, you can take the Yamanote JR train and alight at ueno station. Wrapping up this post for now, I guess I pretty much explored most of Tokyo. I hope you guys had enjoyed all of the travel posts, best of all, learnt something from them. Nevertheless, I will keep on traveling and bring you guys more interesting reads. So come back soon! :)
