Hamanoura

Afternoon peeps, it's Sunday again. I am back for another travel post. In this post, I will be sharing my visit to Hamanoura Terraced Rice Fields. Hamanoura is located in the Saga prefecture. Due to its remote location, transport are not so friendly. So please plan your itinerary well.

Anyway, this is probably one of the nicest views in my entire trip. Well, it's my first time here and the weather was really cold as the wind was strong that day. The rice field viewing observatory decks are free to enter. The peak season for viewing the rice fields and the sea is the late spring/early summer period. This is where the sunset and the lights from the sun reflect the water over the rice field. (Attached a photo for example) During this period, couples would flock here to catch this amazing view.

There are restrooms and vending machine around the main observation decks. So after some time spent at the decks, visitors can rest while waiting for the bus back to Karatsu station. To get to the rice field, visitor can drop by the nearest bus station located at Oteguchi (大手口) and get the ticket to the attraction. The bus is very infrequent, so as mentioned earlier, please plan your schedule ahead. It cost 910円 (Approx. S$11++) for one-way trip, it's not cheap but still worth every penny.
