Navy Open House '13
Today is the first day of the Navy open house. The open house took place at Changi Naval Base. I went for the show one day in advance with my colleagues. We have fun and enjoyed ourselves during the visit. I saw some nice ships and explored some number of booths. Yesterday, it was a hot and sunny day, therefore, I took quite a number of nice and pretty shots. Anyway, the base is quite huge. :)
Greeted by this beautiful view once entered the show entrance.

The whole trip last about 2 hours. The base houses some entertainment and food booths to keep you entertained throughout your visit. There are many popular food vendors around such as Old Chang Kee, Lao Ban Bean Curd and Four Seasons. Other than foods, there are also many souvenir booths that sell limited edition Navy's water bottle, tees and teddy bears.
Old Chang Kee's truck spotted!
Cute limited edition teddy bear.
Food and entertainment zone.
There are 2 main attractions of the show that shouldn't be missed. First one, it is a spectacular navy show located at the main sitting area of the exhibition. Second one, it is the duck tour however, you will have to register and queue up for the it. All the attractions there are free of charge. In fact, I hope they will put up something similar for next year's open house.
The Duck Tour on these boat-bus.
Other small attractions of the exhibition includes ship(s) tour, photo booth, interactive game stations and SAF music company performances. There is also quite number of freebies you can get such as keychains, pens, popcorn and candy floss. I would recommend queuing up at the photo booth to take a free photoshoot to wrap up your visit. For more details of the show, like their page on facebook at http://www.facebook.com/singaporenavy.
Photo booth's props. For kids and adults...I believed?
Flags and misc stuffs.
Souvenirs collected for the day.
I have come to the end of this post, I hope you have enjoyed reading it and do drop by soon for more interesting read! :)
