Solo to The Rooftop
Another week is coming to an end! Woah...time flies, in 2 weeks time, I will be flying off to Tokyo! Wees...happy! Putting that aside, I had a nice week. As usual, I did my runs and gym session. This week, I hitted the 33 mins mark for 6KM endurance run, so proud of myself and hopefully, I will be able to hit below an hour for my KOTR in August.
Nevertheless, this afternoon, I watched "The Rooftop" (天台) at Cathay Cineleisure. It was one of the best movies I have watched so far. Jay Chou is handsome and cool, hahas...*fan mode on*. Currently, all the cinemas are not putting on the show except Cathay. So, I had no choice to head downtown. Hmm...this movie was out on 11st July 2013 which is like weeks ago but due to many popular movies like Pacific Rim, Despicable Me, White House Down and so-on, the movie get very little timeslots. There are many good cast in this movie such as Eric Tsang (曾志偉), Na-Dou (納豆), A-Ken (阿 Ken), Darren Chiu (邱凯伟 from 浪花兄弟), Wang Xueqi (王學圻) and many other Hong Kong and Taiwanese stars.
Screen grab from the movie
The movie took place in a city island featuring 2 main districts (The poorer district, Rooftop "天台" and the richer district, Galilee "加利利"). The poorer district is where Jay Chou (浪子膏) and his friends resides. He works at Eric Tsang (波爺)'s medical hall with his friends. One day, his friend Alan Ko (黑輪) brought him to collect rent for Rango. Then, they met a few tattoo-ed guys at the bath house and fighting started...the adventure continues on when he met his dream girl, Li Xin'ai (心艾). Wanted to see and know more? Catch this movie at Cathay Cineleisure before they stop showing it. Or you can wait for the DVD release of the movie which probably, I will buy it. In conclusion, this movie is definitely worth every bucks spent. I enjoyed it a lot, there were music, fighting, actions and romance. Of course, the touching moment is nice! :)
