Kombi Rocks with Eileen & Raven
Hello readers! I am back for another weekly update! I believed that this week was quite a fast week for me. On Wednesday, I got an admission interview at UniSim and I met up with Zhiwei for dinner and movie after that. I watched the Hunger Games: Catching Fire that night. Hmm, that evening was well spent! As for the other weekdays, work was smooth and fine. The whole week, I still did all my regular exercise regime. I shall start preparing to read some economics books and accounting guide soon, well, to prepare for my studies next year!
The movie, Hunger Games: Catching Fire was a great and nice movie. The last part of the movie, which I believed that it is the post credits scene, shows that Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) and Gale Hawthorne (Liam Hemsworth) were both at District 13. According to the story plot, this district no longer existed. So, it open a new mystery for me to explore. I think that the next sequel will be more of saving Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) from the Capital, for this, I am not really sure as I did not really went reading the books. Nevertheless, I still liked the movie and it's definitely a nice one to watch.

The weekend was a normal one, I met up with Eileen and Raven for dinner at Kombi Rocks. It was our first time there, the cafe was filled with nostalgically items like Beatles posters and stuffs. The ambience was great and the foods were ok-ok...not as fantastic as you might think but still quite nice. Overall, it was a nice place to chill around. As for the price range, it was about S$12 to S$20 for their main courses which I think it's pretty affordable to all. To get here, you can either walk or take bus from Serangoon MRT station. It was located opposite the Serangoon Swimming Complexe. You can take Bus 43 or Bus 70 from the NEX's bus stop and alight on the second stop of the bus route.

During my trip, it was raining and thus, we didn't get to take any photos of the Volkswagen's vans and those oldies sport cars. It was a pity but I hope to visit them again with my other friends. Then, hopefully, I can take photos of the awesome vehicles.
After dinner, we went to Beer Market for a chilling session while we enjoyed our beers and listening to music. Anyway, the pub goes by the concept of a stock market. What you see on the electronic chart during that time will be the price you paying for the beer. What I like about Beer Market is that, they don't have much hidden charges, what you see is what you pay. Eileen asked whether I like those kind of places, well...to be honest, I am alright with that but it tends to get bored after 30 mins-or-so while chilling there. I would preferred Timbre as there were foods and the ambience was quite nice as the lighting was not as dark as Beer Market. If I were to choose to have a night outing, it's probably Timbre that I am going to choose.
