Happy Chinese New Year!

It's Sunday again! Sorry for not updating the last week. Well, I just came back from Malacca and I will put up a post on my trip as soon as I am settled down with everything. Earlier...In the evening, I went for dinner with my family and caught an awesome lunar new year's movie at Cathay Cineplexe, JEM.

My dad treated the family to a sumptuous meal at Imperial Treasure Seafood Restaurant, JEM. Our table was filled with Crab Meat with Scallop Melon Soup (蟹肉瑤柱瓜粒湯), Steamed Chicken with Cabbage (菜膽上湯雞), Sweet and Sour Pork (菠蘿咕嚕肉), Steamed Kai Lan topped with Preserved Vegetables Bits (梅菜扒芥蘭) and Braised Tofu (紅燒豆腐). Of course, I totally enjoyed the dinner! There were no queue during my visit probably people are still visiting one another during this festive season, hahas. Anyway, the bill came up to around S$113. On average, each person pays about S$28 - S$29 (IMO, it's affordable for once in a while). The foods were tasty and delicious, I love the soup of the night and the highlight steamed chicken. Yummy!

After dinner, my family and I went to catch a nice movie (賭城風雲) casted by Chow Yun-Fat (周潤發) and Nicholas Tse (謝霆鋒). It was really a nice and funny movie. There are actions and funny scenes from the starting of the movie till the very end. It was totally entertaining and yup, my dad, mum and sis had also enjoyed the movie too. The movie was directed by the popular Hong Kong's director, "王晶". So yup, do and go support the movie! Catch this movie in theatre near you before it's too late. :)

Last Saturday, I met up with Eileen for dinner at Sushi Express at Westgate. I believed that this is the first Sushi Express's outlet in the west area of Singapore. We queued for about 15 mins for our turn to get our seats. Luckily that we are a duo, thus, the waiting time was shorten.

This is my second visit to Sushi Express. They have a variety of Japanese foods from crabmeat sushi, tamago (たまご) sushi to the most popular salmon slices. Each plate cost S$1.50 and on average, I had about 10 plates. The total bill excludes taxes and service charges. So well...Do take note of that. The Westgate's outlet does not accept credit cards, so please bring along cash or prepared to pay by NETS. Overall, I would recommend picking up the salmon slices (サーモンスライス), unagi (うなぎ) slice and sushi and the ice-cream puffs.

Last week, everything went on smoothly. I did all my usual runs and gym session. Well, for this week, I went back to Malacca for Chinese New Year and I practically skipped most of my training sessions. Work and things were smooth too. Great! And I hope the rest of the year will be the same. Hmm...I pretty much summed up this post. Thanks for dropping by, do come back soon as I will post a CNY post up next week. Cheers!
