Recently, I got bought 2 of Stitch plushies on Taobao. They came in pretty much fast and both of them are in good condition too and the sellers actually packed in some free gifts too. So nice of them, right? As most of the sellers on Taobao are Chinese sellers, it would best that you peeps out there know how to read and see Chinese characters too (This will comes in helpful).
Number one rule of all when shopping online, see the buy status of the item. For Taobao, you can see the number of successful deals from the item page. A high number means a lot, no? It means that the seller is reliable and that the item is best selling etc;. So do take note of that! When you decided on the item you want, you can either click the button to buy instantly or add to shopping cart (When you have other items to add on). Please also take note that the items on Taobao are quoted in Chinese Yuan (人民币) not Japanese Yen! Do your math properly, I always use XE Currency Converter for an estimated cost when shopping on Ebay, Taobao and etc;.
After you finished your shopping, checkout your shopping cart at the payment page then, remember to choose your forwarding agent before you key in your credit card/debit card number. I shall not give a full tutorial on this, please click HERE to read about it. After you are done with every steps, it's time to wait for your seller to send the item(s) to the warehouse of the forwarding agent.
When your item(s) have arrived at the warehouse and ready to ship out to Singapore, you will received a SMS from your forwarding agent. From there, you can proceed online to finish the shopping process. Navigate yourself to the payment page where you can merge your items for ship out. Click onto the "Merge Shipping (合并快递)" then, from there, you can pay the total shipping fees (From China to SG) and tadah! You are done! Usually, the shipping takes 4 to 6 working days.
In most cases, when sellers do not send out the items, it's either the item(s) were out of stock or they have forgotten about it. You can either use the "Inform Seller to Send Item (提醒卖家发货)" button on your homepage or contact them directly. For me, I usually contact them directly through Taobao Chat. That's when your Chinese communication skills come in, that's why I mentioned earlier that it will comes in helpful. :)
Simple as that, till date, I have no problems shopping on Taobao. I hope my experiences will help you guys along too. Nevertheless, thank for dropping by and please share this post with your friends if they are interested to shop on Taobao too. Ciaos!
