A busy Saturday

It's Sunday again and it's time for another weekly post! Wees!! This week was fairly an okay week for work and my exercise regime. Today also marks the day which I start my first Japanese lesson at Jurong Green CC. Last Friday's evening, I clocked another 13 KM in 13 mins, faster by a minute from the previous week. I will drop my distance to 10 KM this Friday before going for more in the upcoming weeks.

Yesterday, I met up with Eileen to collect our Electric Run's race packs at Scape Orchard. We had went around the Scape mall to find the collection point till we realised it was located on the first level of the mall and it's outdoor too! Hahas, stupid us!! Blehs...Anyway, there were no queue at the collection point last evening. It was fast and smooth, all we needed to do is to verify our particulars and boof, here comes our race pack. We got the standard package, thus, our goodies weren't much. I will top up some light sticks at some cheapo stores this upcoming days before the race! Hees!!

Empty queue!!

After the collection, we went for dinner at Din Tai Fung (鼎泰豐), Paragon. The 313 outlet was closed, sadly and thus, we have to walk a further distance down. Well, the waiting time at the Paragon outlet was not too long either. To my surprise, we have to wait only for about 20 minutes. Anything nice is worth the wait, no? This time round, we had noodles, fried rice, buns and xiao long bao (小籠包)!! And we even managed to get a plate of the "小菜"!! Lucky us! :D

My fried rice! Yummy!

New try - Crab meat bun! Hmm...Not bad!

Our faves!! Xiao Long Baos!! おいいし!

We have a good time at the restaurant and we chatted a lot about each other life too. I also met many tourists at the restaurant too. From Japanese to Eurasians too...they are all so friendly. Eileen was so excited about her race next week, she was glaring at her race pack times and times during our stay at the restaurant. Nevertheless, we are really full at the end of our dinner. The total bill came up to S$42++, it was affordable as usual.

After our dinner, we happened to drop by the Orchard Fashion Step Up 2014 which took place on the street of Orchard Road. The whole stretch of road was closed for the event, it was a big one! There are over 150 models who were involved in the show. We spend some time seeing the model show before we headed to Acid Bar to chill.

It was my first time visiting Acid Bar and it was a really nice and pretty sweet experience. The ambience was great and the concept of the bar was creative too. Their menu comes in DVD-cases, at first, Eileen thought it was just some random DVD discs inside the case. That evening, the pub is packed and we were given the bar-seats instead. Nonetheless, we still did enjoyed ourselves surfing the internet on my ipad and checking out our instagram(s). The live-duo performances were great too, they played a number of nice songs from the 90s which totally suits me and Eileen! I am so coming back when I got the money and time! We wrapped our night at around 2300 HRS before the last train.
