Beitou 2014

Good day, peeps! I am back here for another travel post on Beitou (北投)! This time round, it's my 3rd visit to Beitou!! Taiwan is such a nice place to travel around! Especially in March where the weather is cooling and nice to walk around without sweating. Alright, without further ado, I shall kick start this post then.

Beitou (北投) is nearby Yang Ming Shan (陽明山) and it's about 15 to 20 mins away from one another. Thus, many people would plan these 2 destinations together in their itinerary. I am no exception, hahas! Instead of doing the usual where I would visit the public hot spring, this time round, I gave the private hot spring a try! Raven and I spent about S$25++ at "山樂溫泉". This resort offered a number of packages and it cost pretty reasonable. We had a great time at the resort. All the packages come with a high-tea buffet where we get to enjoy a selection of foods from ice cream, cakes, salads, buns and a number of fruits.

Selfies...bleh, I don't own 6-packs! :(

After our hot spring (温泉) experience at the resort, we walked around Beitou area. And when I do visit Beitou, I will never missed visiting my fave noodles store, "24小吃店". The noodles and side dishes there was so affordable and never the taste of the foods fail my expectation! With less than S$3, you get to enjoy a bowl of delicious noodles and one side dish! There are 2 levels in the store, this time round, I was seated at the first level of the store. I went to the second level before and it's so much spacious than the first. You guys should go request for level 2 too.

One of fave side dishes, "油豆腐"!!

My late-lunch, "乾意麵"!

We also went to the Thermal Valley (地热谷) for the first time. It was my first time and of course, the first for Raven too. The valley is filled with steam and endless steam!! However, the wet weather make me very turn-off!! Nevertheless, it was a really amazing sight in my life seeing the valley. FYI, it was a 10 to 15 mins walk from the MRT station to the valley. Also, do take note that the valley is closed to public on Mondays.

We spent a total of about 3 or 4 hours at Beitou before we headed to Wu Fen Pu (五分埔) next. In conclusion, I did still enjoyed my day at Beitou. It was fantastic one with hot spring and the noodles I always ate whenever I visit the place. I will be back again soon! I must say this is one of the places in Taipei that one should not missed especially during the cooling season in March. I have come to the end of this short travel post and I hope you have enjoyed reading it! Stay tuned for another one next week, yea? :)

Never failed to pass by the popular Beitou's library!

I also spotted a nice view during this visit.

Off we go, MRT train to Xin Bei Tou (新北投)!
