Dong Qu

It's time for another travel post! Yeah!! In this post, I will blog about the popular Dong Qu (東區) in Taipei. Dong Qu (東區) means Eastern estate or district. In this district, it lies a number of pubs, cafes, bars, clubs and malls. And because that it's located nearby Taipei 101 and it got the nice view of the tower, houses sold in this estate is not cheap. Thus, only rich locals are able to afford homes in this area of Taipei.
Spotted this cute volkswagen van, the owner was selling ice cream in this!

With a short intro of the area, I shall now kick off my actual purpose of visiting Dong Qu then. Raven and I came here for lunch and actually, we wanted to have dinner at the Jay Chou's restaurant too but we are not able to locate it and thus, missed it this time round. Anyway, we had lunch at L'occitane Cafe! It was a really nice experience!
We ordered each a combo meal that comes with a drink and appetizer too. It was not crowded during our visit and the service provided was fast. The waitress and waiter were really helpful and friendly too. Raven and I chatted, took some photos and after a short 10 mins wait, our appetizer were served. Then, right after that, comes our main course. We also ordered their popular creme brulee to try out too. It was really sweet and I don't really like it. However, I believed that most sweet lovers would love it. Our bill came up to around S$70++, I was not shocked of the price though since I visited Gucci Cafe during my Japan trip last year. In fact, this cost much cheaper than the Gucci Cafe! No kidding, hahas!!

Raven's lunch!

My main course, chicken? I believed...forgotten the name of it.

There are also some other eateries and cafes around the L'occitane Cafe which I would like to try them out when I visit Taipei again next year. After our lunch, we walked to the Taipei 101. It was a 10-mins to 15-mins walk, I shall blog about my Taipei 101 trip in the next travel post then! I have come to the end of this short travel post, I hope you have enjoyed reading it and be sure to be back soon!! Ciaos!
