Tsim Sha Tsui

*This is a review post on Tsim Sha Tsui(尖沙咀). FYI, I went on this trip with my friend, Zhi Wei.

Tsim Sha Tsui(尖沙咀).

Tsim Sha Tsui(尖沙咀) is the most popular spot for backpackers. At Tsim Sha Tsui(尖沙咀), there are many backpacker inns and motels around. Not only that, Tsim Sha Tsui(尖沙咀) also have big hotels like Grand Hyatt around too. It's not surprised to see many tourists around this area. During my trip, I stayed at Hop Inn(Carnarvon). It's a great place to stay and it's doesn't feel cheap at all. My friend and I were really happy with the room and services provided. (:

Hop Inn! :D

I will do a review on tripadvisor later on to boost up this post's pageview. I hope that other tourists from around the world will also read and gain more insights on Hong Kong from my blog too. Back to the post...

Since Tsim Sha Tsui(尖沙咀) is filled with many tourists around, foods and shoppings mustn't be neglected too. Over at Tsim Sha Tsui(尖沙咀), there are many shopping malls around such as The One and K11. However, the stores inside these malls are some of the branded boutiques in Hong Kong. The prices are not easily affordable, so do watch out for it.

The One and K11.

There are many comestic stores in Tsim Sha Tsui(尖沙咀). Along the streets, you also can find many drink and dessert stores. There are also many ladies apparel stores which sells clothes at a lower price as compared to those in the malls. I would say that Tsim Sha Tsui(尖沙咀) is similar to that of Taipei's Ximending(西门町) if you exclude mens stuffs. Click here to read my trip on Taipei's Ximending(西门町).

One of the famous comestic store, '龙城大药局'.

As featured on '食尚玩家' too.

Tsim Sha Tsui(尖沙咀) is nearby Victoria Harbor and Avenue of Stars. Within 10 to 15 mins of walking from the MTR station, you can reach these 2 places. Well, Avenue of Stars is the famous tourist spot in Tsim Sha Tsui(尖沙咀) and it's very alike to the US's hollywood. On the walking pavement of Avenue of Stars, there are tiles with Hong Kong's big stars hand prints embedded on it. Zhiwei and I took some time around the place to find many big stars of the Hong Kong movies and films industry. We took a rest over at Starbucks before we leave the place.

Andy Lau's.

View of Hong Kong's island from Avenue of Stars.

Also, when the night comes, during SGT 8.00PM(If I not wrong), there will be a laser show on Hong Kong's island. You can actually see the show from Avenue of Stars. Well, as mentioned on many travel guides, it's quite a spectacular show. If you had the time and wanted to save some money, this is one of the good choice.

Other than good shopping and nice place to visit, Tsim Sha Tsui(尖沙咀) also have many massage places and pubs, for these...I didn't really went further to explore. But it seems to be quite expensive. So during the night when you are feeling bored, these places might interests you.

Finishing up with foods, we visited some cafes and restaurants during our stay at Tsim Sha Tsui(尖沙咀). There are many photos which I took. I will share some of them. Well, these cafes and restaurants are nearby one another. Just take some time walking around Tsim Sha Tsui(尖沙咀), you will be able to locate these stores easily.

For the price range of these restaurants and cafes, it is between SGD$1.00 to SGD$10.00. For almost every meal I had in Hong Kong, I spend less than SGD$10.00. Trust me, food is not that expensive in Hong Kong, it's their transportation and shopping that drills into your pocket. ):

Dessert Playground.

'海天堂', herbal jelly(龟苓膏) was the best but not cheap, SGD$5.00 per bowl.

Famous dessert cafe, '五代同糖'. Featured on CNN!

'华记小吃', the big sausage is superb awesome!

'赞记厨房', great and affordable!

'源记餐厅', the roast goose wasn't bad.

I had come to the end of this travelogue, there are 2 more posts to go. Still, I hope you guys will support me and drop by soon. Stay tuned.
