Hello 2020, Goodbye 2019

Afternoon peeps! It's the first day of 2020! Wow, time really flies. I can't believe that I am in my 30s and it's time for me to look forward to more exciting stuffs in my life. This year will be the start of another busy year for me. After my Specialist Diploma programme, I have enrolled myself in the Masters programme. It took me a while to decide but I still went with the enrolment anyway. Hahas. I will also be taking up driving much actively. 2020 will also see me moving on to my new appointment which I will be managing more on finance stuffs. In 2020, I will also continue to work hard on my Japanese and training for my runs. I hope that 2020 will be good to me? Last year wasn't too bad but well, I still wish for the better.

The first quarter of the year 2019 was pretty normal for me. As per usual, I visited my relatives in Malacca, Malaysia this Chinese New Year too. Glad to see everyone are doing fine. During my trip, I also took a bunch of photos. Chinese New Year period was also the time where I have to study for my examinations for my Specialist Diploma. In March, I met up with MAJ Izaac and ME5 Ng for dinner at ORTO. This was the first time after they have left the department. My colleagues and I enjoyed the dinner and caught glimpse of the beautiful scenery of ORTO. This quarter, I also attended Kian Hong's wedding banquet. It was an enjoyable evening.

January - March

The second quarter of the year 2019 started off with the annual 2XU Compression Run. This time round, I also signed up for the 21 KM race and thanks to Flex, I was able to wake up a bit later. Hahas. The race was well organised. If you have missed my post on the event, I have linked it at the end of this post. This quarter, 2 major races took place namely the 2XU compression run and Sundown Marathon. I took part in both races this year too however, I am about to give up on running at night. The race against time to catch the shuttle bus back home was tough, I wish I can drive here. This quarter, I attended my cousin, Katherine's wedding banquet and Candy's wedding banquet. Both were on the same day! I also organised and celebrated Tsurumi sensei's birthday surprise. In April, I also travelled overseas with my S.H.E. This time round, we went to Jogyakarta, Indonesia. It was a good trip and break from work and studies.

April - June

The third quarter of the year 2019 started off the annual JLPT examination. This year, I registered for my N2 and difficult it was, I managed to pass the examination thanks to Can-san. Till date, my listening and speaking is still not as good, I need to work on it this year! This quarter also marked the end of my Specialist Diploma programme, I didn't did well during the examination for the second semester. However, I managed to score an above 3.00 GPA. Well, I must say I am lucky this time round. This quarter, I celebrated the birthday(s) of my daddy, my sunflower, Wenya and Kadie!

July - September

The last quarter of the year 2019 was always the highlight quarter for the year as my birthday and annual travel trip to Japan falls in this quarter. This year's birthday trip was to Taiwan! It's been quite some time since my last visit to Taiwan. My family and I enjoyed ourselves. We are still thinking about our next year's family trip! Hees...This year's Japan trip was to Kyushu. It's been 1 and a half year since my visit to Kyushu. I enjoyed my stay with my Chakashi-san and Rumiko-san. I have already treated them like my family members! Hahas. Anyway, this trip, I also brought a lot of souvenirs from Singapore. As they grow older, I worries more. Hmm...Anyway, this quarter, I also attended Wenkai and Kathleen's wedding banquet. Wenkai is one of my close polytechnic friends and thus, I am really happy that he is doing well in his life. Of course, the end of the year is always filled with Christmas celebrations and catch up sessions!

October - December
